Instructions – UA6

Dear all,

I hope you are playing safe, as safe as houses.

I really wish we could finish the course in the regular manners, but the current situation has forced us to remain at home.

As for my part, therefore, I will focus my efforts on creating effective content and developing targeted exercises as tactically as possible. For your part, however, I hope you follow the instructions to benefit as greatly as possible from the remaining sessions.

• Manage your schedule to spend sufficient time practicing the materials. Beyond my teaching, you are responsible for your own learning. If need be, consult other available resources (dictionaries, etc.) to promote your understandings.
• It is highly recommended to take notes of the recordings, and visuals. It is true that the content is yours and you can refer to it anytime you wish, but note-taking can help in saving time, as well as energy on further revisions.
• To achieve the complete CP and OE scores, each student is required to reply on their peers’ comments (at least three), and share their opinions (agree/disagree and why). All your comments and replies are warmly welcomed. Your replies should be thoughtful, respectful and made in a formal tone of language.
• For speaking exercises, it is strongly advisable to record your own voices on your devices for follow-up reflections on your fluency, accuracy, pronunciation, choice of words, choice of structure, etc. You might be depressed by listening to your own voices 😊, but remember, you are not the only one 😉.
• Before submitting your comments/replies, please double check the language you are using. Check for spellings, structures, and see how you can develop your sentences better (both in content, and delivery).
• Sessions will be in several sequential parts (i.e. Session 11 – Part A, Session 11 – Part B, …) depending on the load of the lesson. This means you should not wait for your class time, or a specific time to review the given materials. It is estimated that at your end, each part takes 30 minutes or thereabouts.
• If you have any questions, please feel free to share them as a comment, as they may be others’ questions as well.
